Reason Behind Major Change To Advertised Match On WWE Raw 30 WWE

A new report has revealed the reason behind a major change to an advertised match on WWE Raw 30.

As previously reported, the scheduled Steel Cage match between Becky Lynch and Bayley was thrown out and scrapped following a beatdown by Damage CTRL on Lynch.

Fightful Select (subscription required) provided an update on this change, noting that the match and entrances were supposed to get two segments. However, the opening segment with The Bloodline’s Trial of Sami Zayn ended up going long and led to several segments being trimmed.

These changes affected the Bayley vs. Becky Lynch steel cage match the most.

This forced WWE to decide between doing an angle to set up a full on match later on or end up doing a steel cage match that lasted a minute or two.

The end result was the angle with Damage CTRL laying out Becky Lynch inside the cage and the match being thrown out.

It remains to be seen when the two women will have their advertised bout.

We will have further updates and breaking news from tonight’s WWE Raw 30 when they become available.
