Major Change To Championship Match At WrestleMania Backlash

WWE has made a major change to a championship match scheduled for the WrestleMania Backlash PPV on tonight’s Raw episode.

The WWE Championship match that was scheduled to take place at the event was champion Bobby Lashley defending his championship against Drew McIntyre.

On tonight’s Raw episode, Braun Strowman faced Drew McIntyre with the stipulation being that if Strowman won, he would be added to the WWE Championship match at the PPV.

Braun won the match, changing the scheduled encounter to Bobby Lashley defending against both Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman in a triple threat match.

WWE WrestleMania Backlash streams live Sunday May 16, 2021 live on Peacock or on the WWE Network outside of the United States.
