A major change has been teased for the upcoming WWE 2K25 video game ahead of the upcoming announcement of the game’s release.

WWE has been teasing potential announcements for WWE 2K25 in recent weeks following Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman’s backstage segment on the Raw Netflix premiere, where Reigns entered a locker room with the game’s logo on the front.

The official description for the game has teased that it will feature ‘game changing’ additions, and a highly requested feature may be set to return for this year’s game after 15 years.

In a promotional video for the game, Rhea Ripley was giving a message to kick off the promotion for 2K25, before going on to start talking about intergender matches, before she was cut off by Dominik Mysterio.

The video was a clear tease for the potential return of intergender matches in 2k25, which haven’t featured in a WWE game since SmackDown vs. Raw 2009.

Roman Reigns teased that he would return to Raw on the January 27 episode, which many believe will be the date that the game is officially announced.
