Major Changes Coming To AEW Dark & Dark Elevation

AEW President Tony Khan has confirmed that big changes are coming to AEW Dark & Dark Elevation once the company resumes touring.

Since March, AEW have been producing two weekly wrestling shows for their YouTube channel. Khan has revealed that there will be a change in episode-length for both brands, once AEW hits the road again.

In the post-Double or Nothing media scrum, Khan stated that AEW intends to sign more wrestlers based on their Elevation and Dark performances.

The AEW president confirmed that they will keep producing the two shows, and plan to develop more stars.

Informing fans that a format change is coming, Khan said:

“(The duration) will change. The format will change too.”

“There’s a lot of people. We keep an eye on every match and every person. I don’t want to tip it too soon, but I think we’re going to sign more wrestlers off Elevation and Dark as we go and we have great young talent there. I’m looking forward to it. We’re doing more content and developing more wrestlers.

“We’re going to keep doing Elevation and Dark. They’re great platforms and Elevation has a great audience. I always try to put big matches on Elevation and I’ve been putting angles and promos on there, trying to make it a great wrestling show.”

It was previously reported that AEW will begin to offer tryouts to unsigned performers to feature them on Dark and Elevation.

Recently, Khan cut a controversial promo, trolling WWE President Nick Khan. The AEW president has noted that he discussed the promo with NJPW before it aired, and they thought it was a good idea.
