Announced on WWE SmackDown, there will indeed be a tournament to crown the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
The tournament will begin on this upcoming week’s WWE Raw on August 8, 2022.
The announcement comes amid continued speculation that Sasha Banks and Naomi, the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions who vacated the titles back in May, are returning to WWE.
Elsewhere on tonight’s show, the live crowd gave Liv Morgan a bit of a hard time and an Intercontinental Championship match was made for next week’s SmackDown and the show ended with a shocking return.
