Daniel Bryan and Edge both have roles on the WWE creative team, but they’re both using those roles in a very different way.
As has been pointed out in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Edge used his influence to pitch his Royal Rumble win and a major title match at WrestleMania.
Meanwhile, Bryan, the younger of the two by eight years, has been using his position to elevate the likes of Cesaro rather than himself.
It was also notable that both Edge and Bryan were two of the only names given decent promo time on WWE TV ahead of the Rumble to promote the possibility of them winning the match.
Ringside News – which has a good track record when it comes to accurate reports of backstage WWE news – had previously reported that people in WWE weren’t impressed with Edge’s efforts on the creative team compared to Bryan.
