A major free agent is expected to sign with AEW soon amid reported interest from WWE following their recent contract expiry.
Former TNA World Champion Josh Alexander is now official a free agent, with his contract with the company officially expiring as of February 14, 2025.
However, it seems like Alexander will not be a free agent for very long, with his expected landing point now seemingly set.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), those within AEW, near Alexander himself and within the wrestling industry are expecting that Josh Alexander will sign with All Elite Wrestling, if he hasn’t already.
WWE sources confirmed to Fightful that he had at least not signed there, and that there had been interest in the company using him last year amid the ongoing partnership with TNA.
Fightful has not learned if the deal is officially signed as of yet, but he is expected to land in AEW.
Former AEW World Tag Team Champion Ricky Starks also recently became a free agent, with him signing with WWE, and appearing on this week’s episode of NXT.
