Last week, IMPACT Wrestling announced there would be a huge announcement concerning the World Championship on tonight’s show. Many speculated that due to the US loosening the restrictions on people crossing the border from Canada and Mexico for work and travel that we could see Tessa Blanchard back.
WrestleTalk was even able to confirm this as a spoiler earlier today. Tonight on IMPACT, it was made official.

Tessa Blanchard is back and ready to defend her IMPACT World Championship at Slammiversary. Blanchard will not be facing one person, but will be defending her title against a slew of challengers.
Blanchard’s challengers will be Ace Austin, Eddie Edwards, Michael Elgin, and The Rascalz’s Trey Miguel. All of these guys were either scheduled for title matches or in the case of Trey Miguel screwed out of a title shot. This will allow IMPACT to tie up all their storylines central to the title in one match.
Slammiversary is scheduled for July 18.
