Rey Fenix and Pentagon Jr. (The Lucha Bros) have become two of the most sought-after talent outside of WWE in 2018. The popular duo obtain championships wherever they go, and they both hold their own as a tag team, and as singles competitors. However it seems one of them may be wrestling solo for a little while.

PWInsider is reporting that Rey Fenix will be sidelined for at least the rest of the year due to a groin injury. Fenix picked up the injury in a match against Cavernario at CMLL‘s Leyenda de Plata tournament. A regular feature on IMPACT Wrestling and MLW, and current MLW Tag Champion alongside Pentagon, Fenix will be missing a lot of TV time and tapings.
According to the most reliable doctor around, Google, groin injury recovery time can vary wildly depending on the severity of the injury. Considering Fenix is scheduled to be out for at least the rest of the year, it’s safe to assume that this isn’t a mild injury and may take a while longer to heal. Expect Fenix to be out for upwards of 6 weeks.
We here at WrestleTalk wish Rey Fenix a speedy recovery.
