Major ‘Late Addition’ To May 29 WWE Raw Revealed

Major ‘Late Addition’ To May 29 WWE Raw Revealed WWE

Last night’s WWE Raw featured the build to WWE Money In The Bank in London, and featured a moment that had a lot of fans confused.

The show saw AJ Styles, who was drafted to SmackDown in the recent Draft, appear on the show, teaming with Seth Rollins against Finn Balor and Damian Priest of the Judgment Day.

The appearance of a SmackDown star on Raw this soon after the Draft led to a lot of criticism from fans, but it seems like it wasn’t always slated to be the case.

Per PWInsider, the addition of Styles to Raw on last night’s show was a last second decision, and Styles was not originally slated for the show.

The report says that AJ actually flew home upon returning to the United States from Saudi Arabia on Sunday, before the flying to Raw.

A report from Fightful Select noted that Vince McMahon has been making changes to Raw scripts remotely, as opposed to being in the building as he was on the Raw after WrestleMania.

UPDATE – Another follow-up report from PWInsider states that Styles’ inclusion was in fact a Vince McMahon call – read more at this link.
