Major Match Planned For WWE Raw Netflix Premiere

Major Match Planned For WWE Raw Netflix Premiere WWE, Netflix

A major match is reportedly planned to take place on WWE Raw’s January 6 premiere on Netflix.

With advertising for the show ramping up by the week, WWE Raw’s new era on Netflix is almost upon us and a new report has potentially revealed a main event level match to take place on the show.

According to Dr. Chris Featherstone of Sportskeeda – who recently released a report on The Rock’s WrestleMania status that was backed up as being accurate by Fightful – CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins is currently slated to take place on Raw’s Netflix premiere.

Taking to Twitter, Featherstone wrote:

Seth Rollins vs. CM Punk is currently slated to occur on the debut episode of #WWERaw   on Netflix, I have been informed.

A match between Punk and Rollins has been built up since Punk returned to the company at Survivor Series 2023, with Rollins earmarked as the Best in the World’s WrestleMania 40 opponent prior to his triceps tear at this January’s Royal Rumble.

After finishing WWE’s rivalry of the year with Drew McIntyre, Punk returned to team alongside Roman Reigns and the OG Bloodline at Survivor Series – something that was reportedly done to build towards a WrestleMania feud with Rollins, with this latest report the first to suggest the match is planned to take place beforehand.

We will provide further updates on both WWE’s plans for Rollins vs. Punk as well as the Raw Netflix premiere as/when they become available.
