A major NJPW star made a surprise appearance at IMPACT Slammiversary 2021 to confront Kenny Omega following the main event.
During the July 17 show, Omega successfully defended the IMPACT World Championship in a brutal match against Sami Callihan. While Omega was celebrating his victory, NEVER Openweight Champion Jay White made his way to the ring.
The current leader of the Bullet Club didn’t move when Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson did the “too sweet” hand gesture. Following a stare-down with Omega, White was ambushed by David Finlay and Juice Robinson.
IMPACT tweeted about the surprise appearance:

As per Fightful Select (subscription required), White’s IMPACT debut was kept secret, even from talent within the promotion. Internal notes reportedly stated that a “pull-apart brawl” was scheduled to close the show.
White is set to defend his NEVER gold against Finlay at NJPW Resurgence on August 14. Airing from the LA Coliseum, the special will be the first US NJPW show to feature a live crowd since New Beginning in the USA in February 2020.
