Major Roman Reigns Scrapped Plans Revealed

Major Roman Reigns Scrapped Plans Revealed WWE

Major scrapped plans for Roman Reigns following the Bloodline’s WarGames victory at Survivor Series have been revealed.

At the November 26 premium live event, Roman Reigns, The Usos, Solo Sikoa & Sami Zayn defeated the team of Sheamus, Ridge Holland, Butch, Drew McIntyre and Kevin Owens.

The leaders of the two sides, Roman Reigns and Sheamus, weren’t directly involved in the match finish, which saw Jey Uso pin Kevin Owens after a frog splash, following a low blow from Sami Zayn.

In the moments before Zayn hit Owens with a low blow, the Prizefighter appeared to have Reigns down for the count, but Zayn prevented the ref from counting to three.

WrestlingNews.co reports that the current plan is for Kevin Owens to challenge for Reigns’ Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Royal Rumble 2023.

The report noted that Sheamus was originally pencilled in for the title feud, explaining Sheamus’ prominent position in the feud ahead of the actual WarGames bout.

It was also noted that there were discussions about having Reigns face Sami Zayn at the upcoming premium live event, however it was stated that the current plan calls for this bout to happen at the Elimination Chamber event the next month in Quebec, Canada.

Royal Rumble 2023 has already drawn a huge gate, with the January 28, 2023 recently breaking the record for the largest gate for a Royal Rumble event.
