Oh dear, it looks like we may have seen the last of Xavier Woods on SmackDown for a while, after the New Day star took to Twitter to announce that he has injured his Achilles tendon.
While Woods doesn’t go into detail about the injury, Achilles injuries are often serious and can take as long as six months to recover from.
Hopefully he is able to return far sooner than that, but it may be that Kofi Kingston and Big E will be carrying the team for a while.

WWE is currently touring in Australia, so Woods will be missing this set of tapings at the very least.
This comes at a bad time for the New Day, who seemed to be back at full strength now that WWE has taken the WWE Championship off Kofi and forgotten that he ever had it.
We wish Xavier all the best in his recovery and hope that the injury is far less severe than feared.
