Major SmackDown Star Signs New WWE Contract

Major SmackDown Star Signs New WWE Contract

It has been reported that a major WWE SmackDown star and current champion has signed a new contract to remain with the company.

Earlier today, we covered that Jeff Hardy revealed in an interview that the return of his ‘No More Words’ entrance theme was something he made sure was in his contract when he re-signed.

However, at the time, it was not 100% clear whether Hardy was referring to his original contract or a new one that he has signed since.

Dave Meltzer has now confirmed that Jeff Hardy has signed a new contract with WWE. The length of the deal wasn’t mentioned.

Hardy’s previous contract was originally set to expire in March, when his brother Matt’s did, but WWE tacked on the time he spent away due to injury and his personal issues, so it would have run until November 2021.

He currently reigns as the Intercontinental Champion on SmackDown and it looks like he’ll be defending the title against AJ Styles and Sami Zayn in a three-way at the Clash of Champions pay-per-view.
