John Cena is reportedly on his way back to WWE with his return coming in the very near future.
It has been reported by Fightful Select (subscription required) that WWE sources have said Cena is scheduled to return to WWE programming by the July 23 episode of SmackDown.
The report states that the current plan is to have Cena appear on the aforementioned episode of SmackDown. However, it is also noted that his return could come sooner than that.
John Cena has been rumored to be facing WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at SummerSlam. Cena has not appeared for WWE since WrestleMania 36 when he lost the Firefly Funhouse match to Bray Wyatt.
We will continue to provide details on Cena’s return as soon as more information becomes available.
