All Elite Wrestling has announced that the Jon Moxley vs. Kenny Omega match that was scheduled for Full Gear will now be a “Lights Out” Unsanctioned match.
The announcement came on AEW Dynamite when Jon Moxley was shown having a heated meeting with Tony Khan. The meeting took place after Moxley’s time limit draw against PAC.
Moxley did not take the news well as he accused Khan of protecting Omega from losing as the match will no longer count towards either man’s win/loss record. Moxley said that Khan was trying to put him in a box just like everyone else and that everything that happens to Kenny Omega will be on his hands.
This will be the third “Lights Out” match in AEW. The first two being Moxley’s debut against Joey Janela, and Kenny Omega’s recent AEW Dark match where he also took on Janela.
Moxley and Omega were originally scheduled to compete at ALL OUT but a staph infection kept Moxley from competing. PAC served as his replacement and defeated Omega. With Moxley now recovered, the match was rescheduled for Full Gear on November 9th.
We will keep you updated as more details about Full Gear emerge.
