Tonight’s NXT TV tapings saw a major title change in the final match of the night as Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly of Undisputed Era defeated the Street Profits to win the NXT Tag Team Championships.
This was a rematch from NXT TakeOver: Toronto where the Profits retained, but Undisputed Era showed footage of the finish at tonight’s tapings showing that the Profits pinned the illegal man, so were granted a rematch.
This makes the Undisputed Era the first ever three-time NXT Tag Team Champions – although only the second reign for Bobby & Kyle together, the latter has been part of all three reigns – and the pair now join current NXT Champion Adam Cole in the group with gold around their waists.
With this it would seem the Street Profits could be on their way out of NXT to become full-time members of the Raw roster. They’ve been appearing in backstage segments on the red brand for a number of weeks now.
