A major championship change took place at tonight’s WWE NXT Halloween Havoc premium live event in Prescott Valley, Arizona.
Two weeks ago, a Battle Royal took place on NXT to determine the number one contender for Jacy Jayne’s NXT Women’s Championship at Halloween Havoc.
The match was won by Tatum Paxley, who would go on to compete on her first NXT premium live event to challenge Jacy for the title.
In the end, there was a lot of interference from both The Culling and Fatal Influence, with Izzi Dame getting involved, distracting Jacy, allowing Tatum to hit Cemetery Drive to score the win and capture her first ever championship in WWE.
Jacy won the title from Stephanie Vaquer on NXT television back in May, with her also holding the TNA Knockouts Championship during her reign, before losing the title to Ash By Elegance.
Tatum’s victory wasn’t the only women’s title to change hands tonight, as Blake Monroe defeated Zaria on the show to capture Sol Ruca’s NXT North American Championship, as well as DarkState defeating the Hardy Boyz to regain the NXT Tag Team Championship.
