Despite having still won one match since January, The Way are once again challenging for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship. It was announced tonight that Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell will face Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart next week in a Street Fight.
The Way attacked the champions on tonight’s episode of NXT. Moon and Blackheart received flowers addressed to them by Dexter Lumis. However, it will almost certainly be revealed that the flowers were sent by LeRae and Johnny Gargano.
Indi and Candice attacked Moon and Blackheart during the champions’ entrance prior to their scheduled match with the Robert Stone Brand.
These two teams competed at NXT Takeover Stand and Deliver. In that match, Ember Moon and Indi Hartwell were able to pick up the win, retaining their titles.
It was also announced earlier in the show that Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott will be facing Leon Ruff in a Falls Count Anywhere match on next week’s show. You can read more about that here.
