As announced earlier today, a major trade was to be announced on WWE Backstage on FS1. The panel consisted of Booker T, Renee Young, Christian and Paige.
However, Triple H also appeared to announce a major trade. Before he announced the trade, Booker T asked Triple H about Bruce Pritchard being the new executive director of Friday Night Smackdown.

Booker T eluded to the fact that he announced last night there would be some major news in the next 24 hours. He then quickly dropped in the major news was the Pritchard announcement.
However, Renee quickly danced over the Booker T snippet and asked about a trade. Triple H said Pritchard had already been hard at work making trades.
Triple H then announced a trade that will shock you to the core. Are you ready for this announcement?
BREAKING: As announced by @TripleH on #WWEBackstage on @FS1, @AlexaBliss_WWE & @NikkiCrossWWE have been traded to #SmackDown! https://t.co/GIBxM4dxuO
— WWE (@WWE) October 16, 2019
Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross have been traded to Smackdown Live for considerations and future draft picks.
Blockbuster announcement right? WWE would never, ever hype something and then not deliver the level of news as promised.
While not the major announcement many were hoping for, it could be good for Bliss and Cross to head to Smackdown. Bayley is going to need someone to defend her title against.
While Bliss has been in the title picture before, Nikki Cross would be a welcome addition to the title scene.
