WWE hosted the first-ever edition of the WWE Day 1 premium live event on January 1, 2022, which saw Brock Lesnar win the WWE Championship in a five-way against Bobby Lashley, Kevin Owens, Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins and then-WWE Champion Big E.
WWE had previously announced that the Day 1 premium live event would become a yearly tradition, announcing the 2023 edition for January 1, 2023.
It was recently reported that WWE was planning on changing the date of the event, but as it turns out, the event is not set to take place at all.
Per Wrestlenomics, WWE has cancelled the planned WWE Day 1 premium live event, with it no set to be rescheduled, completely removing it from the calendar.
The removal of WWE Day 1 now means that there are no WWE premium live events scheduled after Survivor Series next month until the Royal Rumble on January 28, 2023.
