Speaking on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer provided an update on the contract status of Brock Lesnar, after it was reported that his deal expired after WrestleMania last year.
Meltzer said that Brock Lesnar has not re-signed with WWE and is currently not under contract with the company. Meltzer added to Lesnar WOULD NOT be at the Royal Rumble last night, something that fans have speculated:
“I just know he has not signed anything and he is not under contract and the plan isn’t for Lesnar in the [Royal Rumble] match, but you know that can change even days later.”
At this stage, there is no word on whether or not Brock Lesnar will be at WrestleMania this year. If he doesn’t appear on the show, this will be the first WrestleMania that Lesnar has missed since his WWE return in 2012.
Speaking of top WWE stars maybe not appearing at WrestleMania, it has been reported that a WrestleMania main eventer is not currently slated to appear at the show this year, which you can read more about by clicking here.
