It was reported yesterday that Impact Wrestling’s Tessa Blanchard was done with the company and would be moving on to a new promotion.
Tessa is widely regarded as one of the best female performers in the world, and it is quite likely that both WWE and AEW would be very interested in bringing her into their companies.
However, Fightful is reporting that Tessa Blanchard’s deal with Impact Wrestling is not actually due to expire until the summer of 2020.
Unless the report is incorrect, Blanchard will not be joining AEW or WWE, at least for the time being.
However, Blanchard’s situation is not that clear cut. She also has a deal with WOW, so moving on a WWE or AEW next summer might not be possible if she still has dates to fulfil in her WOW deal.
Blanchard has been part of the incredibly impressive Impact Knockout’s Division, so she could decide to re-sign her deal with the promotion and continue to help the promotion grow.
