Major Update On WWE NXT Moving To Tuesday Nights

Major Update On WWE NXT Moving To Tuesday Nights

PWInsider is reporting that the internal production schedule within WWE lists NXT as being taped and broadcast on Tuesday nights from the April 13 episode following WrestleMania next month.

This would spell the end of the Wednesday Night Wars. With NXT’s move onto Tuesday nights, AEW Dynamite will be running unopposed on Wednesday night’s from next month:

PWInsider.com has heard from multiple sources this morning that WWE’s production schedule for the month of April now lists WWE NXT for Tuesdays every week post Wrestlemania weekend.

The first episode will be Tuesday 4/13 following Wrestlemania 37 and every Tuesday thereafter, NXT will air the night after Raw.

Unless there are plans to run a replay the day after, the move effectively leaves AEW Dynamite alone on Wednesdays, so it will be interesting to track what the viewing patterns for each show will be once they separate.

This move would put Impact Wrestling opposite WWE NXT, so expect AXS TV to shift Impact programming to Thursdays so that series remains unopposed.

As the report notes, WWE NXT will no longer be in competition with AEW Dynamite, but will now be going head-to-head with IMPACT Wrestling, which airs on AXS TV and internationally on Twitch.

WWE has yet to confirm that NXT is moving off Wednesday nights, despite the proposed change reportedly taking place in just over three weeks. For any potential updates on the matter, stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com.
