The status of current NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez has been up in the air over the past two weeks.
Roxanne “collapsed” (as a storyline) to close out NXT Roadblock after her championship defence against Meiko Satomura.
The angle was shot in order to cover for a legitimate issue with Roxanne that was being evaluated, with Shawn Michaels announcing qualifiers for an NXT Women’s Championship Ladder match at NXT Stand & Deliver.
Zoey Stark, Tiffany Stratton, Gigi Dolin and Lyra Valkyria have qualified for the match, with a last chance three-way between Sol Ruca, Indi Hartwell and Ivy Nile set for next week’s show to determine the final participant.
Despite the match being announced, Roxanne Perez is still officially listed as the NXT Women’s Champion, and we now know more about her status.
Per PWInsider Elite (subscription required), Roxanne is set to be at next weekend’s Stand & Deliver show.
This would seemingly imply that she could be a late addition to the match on the day of the show.
