On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that he was told there is a story going around that Braun Strowman suffered a knee injury at Survivor Series and is going to be taking some time off.
According to Meltzer, he was told that Strowman was scheduled to face Drew McIntyre at TLC, but the match may have been postponed due to the injury that Strowman suffered on Sunday night.
Braun Strowman was kayfabe suspended by WWE for headbutting Adam Pearce, and Dave Meltzer has revealed that he heard from one source that this was to write Strowman off TV while he recovers from his injury.
However, it’s important to note that Meltzer did say that this is just a story that he has heard at this point, which he hasn’t been able to confirm as of yet. For any potential updates, stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com.
Speaking of Strowman, just a few weeks after it emerged that he was internally listed as a babyface, it has emerged that WWE wanted to turn Strowman heel with his beatdown of Adam Pearce on Raw this week.
On Raw next week, we are going to see AJ Styles, Keith Lee and Riddle compete in a Triple Threat match to determine the challenger for Drew McIntyre’s WWE Championship at TLC next month.
