After last appearing at Survivor Series on November 22nd, WWE is advertising that former Universal and WWE Champion Seth Rollins is going to be returning to SmackDown for the New Year’s day episode next week.
Seth Rollins has been off TV for the few weeks as his fiancé Becky Lynch gave birth to a baby girl this month. However, Rollins’ paternity leave is up and he will be returning to TV next week for the first WWE show of 2021.
Also confirmed for next week’s show is a singles match between Big E and King Corbin. This comes after Big E managed to win the Intercontinental Championship on Friday Night SmackDown from Sami Zayn.
At this stage, there is no word on what Seth Rollins is expected to be doing on SmackDown next week, but whatever WWE has planned for the former “Monday Night Messiah”, let’s just hope it doesn’t involve the Mysterio family.
