One of the biggest stars in all of WWE is currently a free agent. After eight years back with the company, Brock Lesnar is no longer under contract.
PWInsider is currently reporting that Lesnar and WWE had been working on a new day, however talks between the two sides have been put on pause. This means Lesnar would be free to leave WWE if he chose to, opening the door to go to All Elite Wrestling, UFC, or any other promotions.
The report makes sure to note that Lesnar’s contract with WWE has expired before. However, it is also noted that this is the longest hiatus following the expiration of the previous contract since he returned in 2012. The report did not specify when exactly the contract expired but did ensure the two sides have not come to terms on a new one.
Lesnar’s last appearance came at WrestleMania 36 where he lost the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre. He would often take time off after WrestleMania before returning in the Summer but given the pandemic, that did not happen this year.
Since his deal expired, WWE has removed all of Lesnar’s merchandise from their online store.
