Following a chaotic conclusion to Friday Night SmackDown (March 21), a major match has been officially announced for WWE WrestleMania 41.
The closing segment of WWE SmackDown in Bologna, Italy saw a highly anticipated meeting between three of the company’s top stars, as Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and CM Punk were all under the same roof for the first time since the March 10 episode of WWE Raw.
While all three men spent some time on the microphone, it wasn’t long before the segment devolved into chaos, with Punk being the first to attack Reigns and triggering a pull apart brawl with Rollins also getting involved.
Amid the chaos, Punk, Rollins and Reigns all at different points focused in on the WrestleMania 41 sign, gesturing that a match between them was something they were all keen to see happen.
While an announcement was not made there and then, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H has now made the match official for Las Vegas.
Taking to Twitter, Triple H wrote:
All three of these men have dominated our industry…
They have had historic reigns as WWE Champion…
…and they all cannot wait to beat the other on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
Rollins. Reigns. Punk. #WrestleMania
Reigns vs. Rollins vs. Punk is now the sixth match to be made official for WrestleMania 41, with Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens also being announced during SmackDown.
