There has been an update on the AEW contract expiry date of Malakai Black following reports he is now done with the company.
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite set off wave of reports and rumors regarding the status of Malakai Black, after Will Ospreay made comments that Black’s stablemates Buddy Matthews and Brody King “don’t need to follow a leader”.
Following this it was reported that Black is expected to be done with AEW, with WWE creative reportedly even discussing Black recently.
Now, courtesy of a new report from PWInsider we now perhaps have an indication as to when Black may be free from his AEW contract.
According to Mike Johnson, Black is expected to be a free agent around February or March, however, no exact date is yet known.
While Black is still under AEW contract PWInsider’s sources believe that he will not make any further appearances for the company.
