Last night’s (October 23) episode of AEW Dynamite was headlined by the third and, seemingly final, match between Cody Rhodes and Malakai Black.
The match saw Rhodes finally pick up the win over his rival with a Cross Rhodes and Tiger Driver 98, a decision that was rather polarising with the AEW fans.
However, Malakai Black himself took to his Instagram account earlier today, where he seemed to imply that he was the real winner last night. Black said:
The entire world is a graveyard, and if you think this was about putting my shoulders on the mat; you’re rudely mistaken. My job was to destroy you and your world. The entire world hates you, you’ve become the beast I set out to make you, and I was willing to sacrifice my blood for it. Enjoy the seeds I planted for months. House always wins. #HouseOfBlack

The AEW crowd were pro Black and anti-Cody during their feud, but Cody has reiterated that he would retire before ever turning heel in AEW.
