Mandy Rose Next Wrestling Destination Revealed?

Mandy Rose Next Wrestling Destination Revealed? WWE

A notable promotion is already interested in signing former NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose following her WWE departure.

On the December 13 edition of NXT, Mandy Rose dropped her NXT Women’s Championship to Roxanne Perez. Less than 24 hours later, WWE released Rose from her contract.

WWE has now moved Mandy Rose’s superstar profile to the ‘alumni’ section of WWE.com, confirming her exit from the company.

As previously reported by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the title change was a rushed decision made by Shawn Michaels as soon as he found out earlier that day about the type of content Mandy Rose had been posting on her exclusive content page.

It’s worth reiterating a misconception – WWE didn’t fire Rose just because of the fact she had a subscription service, but reportedly more so because of the nature of what she was posting on there, which, per Meltzer, the company thought ‘way, way, way crossed the line’.

Fightful Select previously reported that Rose had indicated to people in recent months that she did realize what she was posting could get her in trouble with WWE management.

Fightful has since followed up by adding that Rose was said to be ‘in good spirits’ at Tuesday’s show, as well as immediately after her release.

On Busted Open Radio, Tommy Dreamer, who has a backstage role at IMPACT Wrestling, made it clear that the promotion would love to have Rose on its roster.

Discussing the potential signing, Dreamer said:

“Yes, if she doesn’t go to AEW, one thousand percent IMPACT would love to have you. Because you’re a star, and you’re great in the ring. And if AEW doesn’t jump on that, hell, IMPACT will.

“Hey Mandy Rose, call me. Text me. DM me.”

There’s no word yet on whether Rose would be interested in joining IMPACT or even staying in wrestling at all, or whether she’ll focus on her subscription page and other projects instead.

She has not yet publicly commented on her WWE departure.

Rose’s reign with the NXT Women’s Title clocked in at 413 days, so it was just four days off being the second-longest NXT Women’s Title reign of all time behind Asuka’s.

Had the title change taken place on either January 10 or February 4 as originally planned, Rose’s reign would have overtaken Shayna Baszler to hit that second place milestone.
