A WWE main roster star has commented on Mariah May’s AEW feud with Toni Storm, following May officially joining WWE.
Mariah May made her WWE debut on the June 3 NXT episode, appearing on the balcony stage following a brawl between several potential NXT Women’s Championship challengers.
Speaking on Busted Open, Natalya noted that she’s very excited for May, calling her the total package.
Natalya went on to talk about Mariah May’s previous work, highlighting her AEW storyline with Toni Storm.
The WWE Raw star said:
“She has done amazing work in the past. I mean, she wouldn’t be in WWE had she not done great work prior. Her stuff with Toni (Storm) was some of my favorite stuff.
“It was just so fun. They had a fun story. But I think that it’s all about building, it’s all about growth, it’s all about new challenges…”
After initially establishing herself as an ally to Toni Storm following her AEW debut, Mariah May turned on Storm in July 2024, leading to May defeating Storm for the AEW Women’s Championship at All In London 2024.
Storm won the gold back at February’s Grand Slam Australia event, and defeated May once again at Revolution in March, in a brutal Hollywood Ending match which was ultimately May’s final bout with AEW.
