A major update on former AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May receiving a new ring name after signing with WWE.
Former AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May left the company last week after being removed from the company’s roster page.
Shortly after her AEW departure, Mariah made her debut on this week’s episode of WWE NXT, when she appeared on the podium at the end of NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne’s promo segment.
When Ricky Saints made his debut for NXT earlier this year, he was not named on the broadcast or on any of WWE’s social media accounts, which led to speculation that he would receive a new ring name, which ended up being confirmed when he announced his new name the following week.
The same thing has happened to Mariah May, with her yet to be named by WWE after making her debut, with it being reported that she was expected to receive a new ring name after signing with the company.
In an update from PWInsider Elite (subscription required), the reason that Mariah May was not named on WWE television is that she is ‘100%’ set to get a new ring name once the decision on what it will be has been completed.
Mariah signed with Paradigm Talent Agency shortly after making her WWE debut on this week’s NXT.
