
A new NXT 2.0 star has lost a championship on today’s edition of NXT UK.
The NXT UK stable, Gallus, made their debut on NXT 2.0 during the August 16 Heatwave special by attacking the Diamond Mine faction.
Gallus consist of Wolfgang, Joe Coffey and Mark Coffey. The group has been one of the most successful in the brand’s history, owning the longest reign as NXT UK Tag Team Champions.
Mark Coffey also won the Heritage Cup Championship, but he came up short in his latest defense.
On the August 25 edition of NXT UK, which was of course taped some time ago, Noam Dar made history by beating Coffey to become the first two-time Heritage Cup Champion.
The brand is undergoing many changes, going on hiatus for a few months ahead of the launch of the NXT Europe brand next year.
The upcoming Worlds Collide event will see NXT Champion Bron Breakker vs. NXT UK Champion Tyler Bate in a title unification match, while NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose vs. NXT UK Women’s Champion Meiko Satomura vs. Blair Davenport in a triple threat title unification match.
On the August 23 edition of NXT 2.0, the duo of Wolfgang and Mark Coffey defeated NXT UK Tag Team Champions Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs by countout.
