AEW Star Defends Top Dolla Following SmackDown Botch

AEW Star Defends Top Dolla Following SmackDown Botch WWE

AEW’s Mark Henry has told Top Dolla to ignore his haters following the WWE star’s botch on this week’s SmackDown.

During Friday’s (December 16) show, Top Dolla attempted a suicide dive during the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Title #1 contenders threeway bout.

In a somewhat scary moment, Top Dolla got caught on the top rope and landed on the ring apron, instead of onto his waiting opponents.

The Hit Row member later noted that one of his legs gave out when he was jumping to perform the move.

Top Dolla has now taken to Twitter with a video of him successfully executing a suicide dive, with the caption:

“I was 50 lbs heavier in this video than I am now. My leg gave out on live TV and some of y’all jokes are actually very funny but calling me a liar is super weird.

“It could’ve been way worse so I’m blessed 🙏🏽 Y’all don’t care doe 🔝💵”

Mark Henry shared Top Dolla’s tweet, sending the SmackDown star a message of support.

Telling Top Dolla not to listen to those spreading hate, Henry wrote:

“Bro, anyone that has ever performed has failed. It’s a part of the process to get better.

“Why would you listen to people that have no idea how to do what you did, the ability or confidence to do what you did and the athleticism to perform that maneuver when the cameras are rolling.”

On the December 23 edition of SmackDown, Hit Row will challenge for The Usos’ Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship.
