IMPACT
Former WWE star Mascara Dorada (fka Gran Metalik) is set for action on this week’s edition of IMPACT Wrestling.
Ahead of Thursday’s (September 1) show, IMPACT has confirmed that Dorada’s debut will be against Alex Zayne in singles action.
Dorada was a notable name in WWE’s rebooted cruiserweight division, making it to the finals of the 2016 Cruiserweight Classic tournament. During his WWE tenure, he formed the Lucha House Party faction with Samuray Del Sol (Kalisto) and Lince Dorado.
He was released from his WWE contract in November 2021, after reportedly requesting his release that September.
Dorada has wrestled for several promotions since his WWE departure, making his GCW debut in February, and returning to NJPW on the STRONG brand in March.
This match was taped during the August 26 Lone Star Stampede taping. Dorada also wrestled for IMPACT during the August 27 taping. Check out spoilers for matches taped on August 26 right here, and results from the August 27 taping here.
