Mask Mandate Issued For Las Vegas Ahead Of SummerSlam

A new mask mandate has now been issued by Nevada, which could affect SummerSlam on August 21 in Las Vegas.

Next month, the Biggest Party of the Summer will air from the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. A new mandate that has just been reinstated regarding face masks might affect proceedings come August.

As first reported by Reno Gazette Journal, Nevada has passed a mandate for Clark County, home of the Las Vegas Strip, which will require everyone, vaccinated or not, to wear masks in “public indoor spaces”. The order will begin on July 30. It wasn’t announced how long it will last.

It is uncertain whether SummerSlam will be affected by the order, as the Allegiant Stadium could be considered an outdoor venue when the roof is not up.

As per the report, Clark County currently accounts for almost 80% of COVID-19 cases in the state of Nevada.

WWE recently announced the first official match for SummerSlam, a three-way between Nikki A.S.H, Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley for the Raw Women’s Championship.

This comes after A.S.H cashed in her Money in the Bank contract on Charlotte Flair to win the gold on the July 19 episode of Raw.

It was previously speculated that Becky Lynch would return to WWE soon to challenge for the Raw Women’s Title. You can read the update on Lynch’s potential return here.
