Mason Rook has reacted to John Cena giving him another shoutout following his arrival on last night’s episode of WWE NXT.
One of six stars to debut on last week’s WWE NXT, the star known on the independent scene as Will Kroos would see recognition from John Cena, having attacked Tony D’Angelo and delivered a moonsault on the April 28 episode.
Cena has once against stepped forward with a shoutout to the WWE star now known as Mason Rook, repeating the chant familiar to British wrestling fans in a post on Twitter, writing:
“He’s BIG ….
“He’s BAD….
“He’ll BODYSLAM YER DAD!!!!”
The post included footage of Rook taking out Tony D’Angelo once again, with the newly signed star being the last thing that would be seen when NXT went off air.
Responding to the shoutout, Rook would share a message on Twitter that reads:
“Sounds so nice, the 🐐 had to say it twice🤟🏼”
Rook would also share the footage of his attack on D’Angelo, with a message on Twitter simply stating: “Arrival“.
With WWE NXT going off air with the sight of Rook, the star would share his thoughts in a short video shared on the official NXT Twitter account, stating:
“Mason Rook has arrived in NXT.
“If you didn’t know, now you know.”
All of this, while the fans were chanting “he’s big, he’s bad, he’ll bodyslam yer dad”, referring to the star as Will Kroos.
He’s BIG ….
He’s BAD….
He’ll BODYSLAM YER DAD!!!! https://t.co/ePYJChCRGX— John Cena (@JohnCena) May 6, 2026
Mason Rook Doesn’t Do It By The Book
John Cena giving Mason Rook two shoutouts across the same number of appearances is quite the achievement for the newly signed WWE star. Notably, the appearance of the former Will Kroos on last week’s NXT took place on an episode that saw a total of six debuts, including the former NJPW star EVIL.
It’s the sort of nod that would put attention on any star, but Rook has the broad shoulders to carry such expectation and the ability to back it all up.
A product of British wrestling, the former Will Kroos held championships across England and previously completed a tour of Japan, competing in Pro Wrestling NOAH, fine-tuning a style that is a curious combination of “big man” powerhouse wrestling and deft agility, last week teased with a single moonsault.
Just 29 years old, Rook joins WWE having had successful runs in NORTH Wrestling, PROGRESS Wrestling, Revolution Pro Wrestling, BWR and elsewhere, with each match adding to a skillset grown through his involvement with his time in the Pursuit Pro Wrestling training school.
More than just a “big man”, Mason Rook will no doubt demonstrate that he’s not just a wrecking ball over the coming months.
