UPDATE: Chelsea Green has now posted a statement addressing the situation, which you can read at this link.
Many fans were disappointed when Chelsea Green was released by WWE on April 15, but now a lot of people aren’t happy with her.
Chelsea Green recently used some fan-created art without giving credit for it, so the creator, Twitter user @Salsaboiii, politely messaged her to ask for credit.
Salsaboiii explained that graphic design and artwork is his source of income and he worked really hard on that particular one, so would appreciate being credited.
Instead of simply crediting him for his work, Green replied “I deleted it” and then later blocked him, which has unsurprisingly led to a lot of backlash when he posted screenshots.
Many, many Twitter users have come to Salsaboiii’s support and are disappointed in the way Green dealed with the situation.
Green posted an unrelated tweet shortly after and received responses like these in the replies:
@Frajagator: Try to give artist credits! Be better and nice with people who follow your craft.
@GlopolaMonster: Crediting an artist is incredibly simple and doesn’t expose you as a petty child during a time when you just got released and need to build a fan base.
@Zolter1776: Give credit to the graphic designer instead of being rude and then blocking him for no reason.
I think you get the picture. Here’s the exchange, posted by Salsaboiii:
