Update On Massive Heat On Top WWE Star

There is a new update on the massive heat on a top WWE star.

Over the weekend, former WWE Universal Champion Braun Strowman garnered heat from several of colleagues after the Crown Jewel event when he targeted “grocery baggers” and “flippy wrestlers” in a series of tweets.

A new report has revealed that the heat on Strowman is actually very real.

Fightful Select (subscription required) provided an update on Braun’s heat, noting that at least one source they spoke to thought that it was an immature approach from Strowman.

The report also notes that the WWE star has actually been on his best behavior backstage since returning to the company and had been easy to deal with, but “social media Braun” has been another story.

The series of tweets is not part of an ongoing or upcoming angle, and likely won’t be turned into one.

However, it was suggested that Strowman could eventually be ribbed or referenced on screen or on commentary for his stance.

One wrestler tried to explain the thinking behind Braun’s thinking, noting:

“One wrestler who claims ‘they’ll never do a flip in their life,’ said that the tweets shouldn’t have happened, saying ‘we need them, and they need us. Wrestling is everything. There’s very little truly right and wrong. He didn’t come up in the business doing the things that a lot of those people did, so he probably doesn’t understand.'”

Braun Strowman last competed in a win over Omos at the WWE Crown Jewel event.
