A massive update has emerged regarding Kevin Owens and his WWE contract status, with his deal having been set to expire in just over a month.
Fightful Select is reporting that Kevin Owens has re-signed with WWE on a new multi-year deal.
It was said by sources that WWE made Owens an “excellent offer” and that the company is “over the moon” about keeping him.
Negotiations between Owens and WWE reportedly began in the “fall of 2021”.
Owens is currently involved in the WWE Championship picture on Raw, and will compete in a four-way match for the title at the Day 1 pay-per-view on January 1 along with Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley, and defending champion Big E.
There had been plenty of speculation that Owens could leave in favor of joining AEW, and he even seemed to tease doing so on social media several times.
WWE reportedly made a “great offer” to Johnny Gargano, but he opted not to re-sign, with Kyle O’Reilly another name whose contract expired and chose to leave.
