Massive WrestleMania Match Now In Jeopardy

Massive WrestleMania Match Now In Jeopardy

Back on SmackDown 1000, Batista returned as part of Evolution, and during his promo he teased a potentially huge WrestleMania match.

While praising former stable-mate Triple H, big Dave said Trips had done absolutely everything in WWE, apart from beating him.

This lead to a very sticky silence between the two, which was quickly smothered by a big group hug. However, the seeds were planted for a match, a match that was allegedly set to take place at WrestleMania 35 next year.

However.

During his dad-team match with Shawn Michaels against the Brothers of Destruction at Crown Jewel, Triple H suffered a torn pectoral muscle and was visibly struggling to pull-off his moves.

Triple H has now undergone surgery on the tear, and he could be out for several months as a result.

WrestleMania is currently five months away, and a website I looked at which had a medical sounding name reckons recovery from a pectoral tear can take anything upwards of four months. I also now have three diplomas.

It seems the plan, if Mr H can’t compete, is for Batista to have a match with Randy Orton, something WWE are likely to try and avoid at all costs due to the decreased drawing power this match would have.
