Match Change Due To Top AEW Star’s Injuries For May 17 Dynamite AEW

A match has been changed due to a top AEW star’s injuries for tonight’s May 17 edition of AEW Dynamite.

Over the past few months, The Outcasts of Saraya, Toni Storm and Ruby Soho have been feuding with the homegrown stars of All Elite Wrestling, including AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter and Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D.

On the April 19 edition of AEW Dynamite, Hayter and Baker defeated Soho and Storm. During the course of the match, The Outcasts injured the AEW Women’s World Champion, which has kept her out of action over the past few weeks.

A six-woman tag team match with Jamie Hayter, Britt Baker and Hikaru Shida facing The Outcasts is scheduled for the May 17 episode of Dynamite.

On Wednesday afternoon, AEW CEO Tony Khan announced that due to injuries at the hands of The Outcasts, Hayter has been removed from the scheduled tag team match on tonight’s show.

Now, it will be Baker and Shida facing Storm and Soho in tag team action on the broadcast.

Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp provided an update, noting that Hayter’s injury is apparently legit. He tweeted:

The Jamie Hayter injury that has her off tonight’s AEW Dynamite is legit. We haven’t heard her status beyond tonight.

We will have further updates on Jamie Hayter’s injury when they become available.
