WWE set up a new match for next week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown on FOX during today’s edition of Talking Smack on the WWE Network.
The match – if it ends up happening – will be Liv Morgan & Ruby Riott taking on Billie Kay and a partner in a tag team match.
Kay walked in on the Riott Squad’s interview during Talking Smack, showing off her resumé to everyone as has become her new gimmick, which led to Morgan and Riott challenging her to a tag match.
Of course, Kay doesn’t have a tag partner right now since she was split from Peyton Royce in the WWE Draft in October, and there haven’t been any signs of a partnership brewing between her and anyone else as of yet.
WWE has gotten into the habit of not locking down shows until the last minute, and often that results in changes being made, so if this match doesn’t actually happen next week, don’t be too surprised.
