WWE Performance Center head coach Matt Bloom recently spoke with the Orlando Sentinel regarding the NXT roster’s reaction to the brand moving live to the USA Network starting tonight.
“He [Triple H] started dropping these hints that everybody would have to raise their game in a few weeks. A buzz definitely went through the room, and when he finally told everybody what was going on, everybody was just ecstatic.”
Bloom also gave more thoughts on the roster overall:
“One of the great things about this roster is how well they pay it forward.
“When you look at names like Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, Killian Dain, Shayna Baszler — they’re familiar with live TV and they’ve been working a lot with the other talent. It’s made for a more comfortable transition.”
NXT makes its USA Network debut tonight, although for the first two weeks, the first hour will air live on USA Network and the second hour on the WWE Network.
However after that two-week period, the full two hours will be live on the USA Network.
We’ll have live coverage of tonight’s show which includes a Matt Riddle vs Killian Dain Street Fight, Velveteen Dream defending his North American Title against Roderick Strong, and LeRae vs. Belair vs. Yim vs. Shirai in a number one contender’s match.
