Matt Cardona Discusses Possible WWE Return WWE

With the Triple H era of WWE well underway, we have seen multiple released WWE stars already make their returns to the company.

Dakota Kai, Karrion Kross, Scarlett, Dexter Lumis, Top Dolla, Ashante ‘Thee’ Adonis and B-Fab have reappeared on either Raw or SmackDown after they were previously released from the company, with the returns reportedly ‘not stopping soon’.

Fans have speculated about almost every name who had been let go from the company in the last 2 years making a return, one of which being former NWA Worlds Champion Matt Cardona, who was in the company as Zack Ryder for 15 years before being let go in 2020.

Cardona recently spoke to Wrestling Inside The Ropes, where he discussed the possibility of returning to the company now that Vince McMahon has retired and Triple H is in control.

He said:

“Triple H is calling everybody back supposedly, if he called me back, of course I’d have a conversation. But, I don’t know if I’d go back. I don’t know. I mean, of course ‘never say never’ but I mean, my schedule now is pretty great, I’m making a lot of money and I’m having a lot of fun so it’s hard to trade that in for just to be a name on a roster. I already did that.”

Cardona is currently out of action with a torn bicep, with him set to return to action at the upcoming NWA 74 pay-per-view against an opponent of his choosing.
