Matt Hardy Confirms He Is NOT Retired

Contrary to reports (based on his actions and words) a few months ago, Matt Hardy has revealed that he is not retired and will wrestle in WWE again.

Hardy had previously done something of a farewell tour on house shows following his Deleters Of Worlds teams’ Raw Tag Team Title loss to the B-Team several months back.

Following a tag match in Texas in September, Hardy posted several status updates on his social media platforms that strongly implied his career was done. That was followed by various reports claiming Hardy was transitioning to a backstage role as a producer and that he would become a reality star of sorts on new WWE Network show House Hardy.

Evidently plans have changed because according to Hardy, his days competing in WWE rings are not yet over, based on the following tweet:

B-Teamer Curtis Axel responded to the mention with a tweet of his own, which also stated that his rivalry with Hardy was not over:

Hardy posted further messages declaring that his career was far from over and suggesting that he would be a good candidate to replace Baron Corbin as Raw General Manager.

When or where Hardy is likely to return is unknown. As fun as seeing him as Raw GM would be, it seems unlikely that he will be given that role. Not impossible, but unlikely. A far more probable return date would be Royal Rumble as an unannounced surprise.
