AEW star Matt Hardy has reacted to a report that came out this week stating he may have suffered an injury recently.
Fightful reported that Hardy had bad swelling in his knee after his match at AAA TripleMania this past weekend, which saw him team with John Morrison (as Johnny Hardy, filling in for Jeff Hardy) in a losing effort against Dragon Lee and Dralistico.
Since then, Matt has tweeted:
Sorry to disappoint, but I’m all good, ladies & gentlemen. I was at #AEWDynamite tonight & am good to go. Also, I loved & enjoyed my #TripleMania30 match for @luchalibreaaa. Thanks, TJ!
Matt’s last match in his main promotion AEW was back on June 1, when he teamed with Christian Cage, Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus and Darby Allin, losing out to the Young Bucks, reDRagon, and Hikuleo.
Matt and Jeff were scheduled to compete in the AEW World Tag Team Championship ladder match on June 15, but Jeff was arrested two days prior and they were ruled out.
